Harab Rasheed
How the official platform works
- Nusuk Umrah (umrah.nusuk.sa) is the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's platform. It offers packages that include visa issuance, hotels and transport, provided by the Ministry's authorised service providers.
- Which packages you see depends on your country of residence, under the Ministry's rules for individual Umrah. You register, your details are verified, and the platform shows what is available to you.
- Every Umrah visa is tied to hotel bookings registered in Nusuk Masar for each night — so a provider is involved in the booking either way.
What this means on an Indian passport
- You apply through a licensed Umrah provider — chosen on Nusuk Umrah, or approached directly. The provider uploads your passport and confirmed hotel bookings, and you receive the e-visa.
- Tourist e-visa exception: Indian passport holders with certain valid US, UK or Schengen visas or residence, or GCC residence, may qualify for the Saudi tourist e-visa, which allows Umrah outside the Hajj season and can be applied for yourself. With an Indian passport alone, use an Umrah visa.
Whichever route you take
- You still book the Umrah permit (time slot) in the Nusuk app.
- Check a provider is genuine — Nusuk lists approved providers. Never pay someone who contacts you claiming to be "from Nusuk". Marhaba never asks for payment outside its official channels.
