How Marhaba Answers works, what we publish, the Adab code, and how to raise a concern.

What Marhaba Answers is
Marhaba Answers is a public library of pilgrims' questions about Hajj, Umrah, hotels, visas, transport and ziyarat, answered carefully by Marhaba Haji's team. Every answer is dated, factual answers carry an “as of” date, and nothing is published until our team has reviewed it.
It is not a social network, a booking engine or a marketplace. It does not give religious rulings (fatwas) or personal medical advice, it carries no third-party advertising, and we never sell anyone's data.
The Adab code
- Answer the question asked.
- Experience is experience, facts need sources.
- Every school of thought is treated with respect.
- “I don't know — please ask a scholar/doctor” is an honoured answer.
- No selling, no contacts, no payment requests, ever.
What we don't publish
- Phone numbers, e-mail addresses, WhatsApp handles or other contact details — they put pilgrims at risk of scams.
- Requests for payment, bank or UPI details, or any offer to sell a service.
- Passport, Aadhaar, PAN or other identity numbers, and other people's private information.
- Links that advertise, spam, or lead away to sellers.
- Rude, abusive or mocking language, and anything that attacks a school of thought, a community or a person.
- Personal religious rulings or personal medical advice presented as certain.
- Accusations against a named business presented as a verdict (see below).
How moderation works
- Every question goes to our team first. Nothing appears on the site the moment it is sent.
- We publish a question together with its answer. We may lightly edit a question for clarity or to remove personal details; the meaning stays the asker's.
- We may merge questions that ask the same thing, close a question with a visible reason, or decline to publish one.
- When an answer needs correcting, we add a dated correction note. We do not change published answers silently.
- Health answers are general information compiled from official sources such as the Saudi Ministry of Health. They are not medical advice and are not reviewed by a doctor unless a reviewer is named on the answer — your own doctor decides what is right for you. Religious questions are answered with the range of scholarly views, and we never give personal rulings.
Health and religious questions are answered generally and reviewed — for personal rulings, please consult your scholar/doctor; we will still help with the practical side.
Naming businesses and agents
Factual accounts of your own experience are welcome. Allegations of fraud against a named business or person are held for review and published, if at all, as an experience account — never as a verdict.
Marhaba never asks for payment outside its official channels. If anyone asks you to pay a personal account, it is not us.
Reporting a problem
Every answer has a “Report this” link. Choose a reason — wrong information, rude, spam or agent solicitation, personal data, religious offence, or other — and our team will review it. Reports are anonymous and go only to our moderators.
Grievance contact
