01Who we are
Marhaba Haji is a brand of Marhaba Ventures Private Limited (“Marhaba Haji”, “we”, “us”), 63/1, 3rd Floor, Paramount Avenue, Mosque Road Cross, Frazer Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560005, India. We decide how and why your personal data is used for the services described here, so we are responsible for it.
This policy covers marhabahaji.com and its sub-sites, your Marhaba Haji account, our enquiry and booking forms, our WhatsApp number, and our games such as Umrah Ready. It is written in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
02What we collect
We collect only what we need to answer you and arrange your journey:
- Account details — your name and e-mail address, and a password if you choose one. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, e-mail address and profile picture with us. We never see your Google password.
- Enquiries and quotes — what you tell us in a form, on WhatsApp, by phone or by e-mail: names, phone or WhatsApp number, e-mail, city, travel dates, number of travellers and what you are looking for.
- Booking and traveller details — for each traveller: full name as on the passport, date of birth, passport number and expiry, nationality, photographs and passport copies for visas, contact details, an emergency contact, and any health or mobility needs you choose to tell us so we can look after you.
- Payment records — amounts, dates and references of what you paid us. Card, UPI and NetBanking payments are handled by our payment gateway or your bank; we do not see or store your full card number or UPI PIN.
- Messages — WhatsApp messages, e-mails and chat messages you send us, including questions you ask our website assistant.
- Game progress — if you play Umrah Ready, Hajj Ready or Ramadan Ready while signed in: your progress, badges and the display name you choose.
- Website use — pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from your internet address, and how you found us. See “Cookies and analytics”.
03How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you quotes you asked for.
- To arrange your journey: book flights, hotels, transport and ziyarat, and apply for visas and permits for you.
- To manage your booking, take payments, issue invoices and keep the accounts and tax records Indian law requires.
- To send you updates about your booking, travel reminders and, after your trip, a request for a review — on WhatsApp, by e-mail or by phone.
- To run your account, keep it secure and stop fraud and spam.
- To understand which pages help pilgrims and improve the website.
- To send you news or offers, only if you have agreed. You can stop these at any time.
04Why we are allowed to use it
We use your data because you gave it to us for a purpose — to get a quote, make a booking, create an account or play a game — and with your consent where the law asks for it, for example before sending WhatsApp reminders or marketing.
Some uses are required by law, such as keeping invoices and tax records, sharing traveller details with immigration and Saudi authorities for visas and permits, and responding to lawful requests from Indian authorities.
06Data outside India
Your journey takes place in Saudi Arabia, so traveller details must go to Saudi suppliers and authorities. Some of our service providers also store data on servers outside India. We use only providers with appropriate security, and transfer data abroad only as permitted under Indian law.
08Our website assistant
When you chat with our website assistant, your messages are sent to an AI provider to produce a reply, and kept so our team can follow up and improve answers. Please do not type passport numbers or payment details into the chat; our team will ask for them securely when needed.
09How long we keep it
- Booking, invoice and payment records: for as long as Indian tax and company law requires, usually eight years.
- Passport copies, photographs and other visa documents: only as long as needed for your journey and any follow-up with suppliers or authorities, then deleted.
- Enquiries that did not become a booking: while they are useful for following up with you, after which we delete them or remove what identifies you.
- Your account and game progress: while your account is open. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
10How we protect it
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. Passport and emergency details are kept in a protected area that only our authorised team can read, never in your public profile. Staff see only what their role needs. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
11Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- correct or complete it;
- delete it, unless we must keep it by law or for a live booking;
- stop sending you WhatsApp messages or offers — reply STOP on WhatsApp or tell us;
- withdraw a consent you gave. This does not affect what we did before;
- name someone to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
Write to support@marhabahaji.com from the e-mail address on your account or booking. You can update most account details yourself on your account page. We reply within 30 days.
12Children
Accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian books for travellers under 18 and gives their details for them. Our games ask players to confirm they are 18 or over before saving progress.
13Questions and complaints
For any question or complaint about your personal data, write to support@marhabahaji.com with “Privacy” in the subject, call +91 90084 47887, or write to Marhaba Ventures Private Limited, 63/1, 3rd Floor, Paramount Avenue, Mosque Road Cross, Frazer Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560005. We acknowledge every complaint and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will tell you by e-mail or WhatsApp.
