Which places do Madinah ziyarat tours visit?

Asked by Anonymous pilgrim23 Oct 2026Ziyarat

In short

A typical Madinah ziyarat covers Masjid Quba, Mount Uhud and the martyrs' graves, Masjid al-Qiblatain, and the area of the Battle of the Trench (the Seven Mosques). Many pilgrims also visit Jannat al-Baqi next to Masjid an-Nabawi, at the times set on site.

Commonly visited places

  • Masjid Quba — the first mosque built in Islam; many pilgrims pray two rak'ahs there.
  • Mount Uhud — site of the Battle of Uhud, with the graves of the martyrs, including Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him).
  • Masjid al-Qiblatain — the mosque associated with the change of the qiblah. It was opened to worshippers 24 hours a day by royal order in October 2025.
  • The Khandaq area (the Seven Mosques) — linked to the Battle of the Trench.
  • Jannat al-Baqi — the cemetery beside Masjid an-Nabawi, where many Companions and members of the Prophet's family ﷺ are buried. It opens to visitors at set times each day, but we have found no officially published schedule, so ask the mosque staff on arrival — including about the arrangements for women.

Planning

  • Half a day covers the main sites by car.
  • Go early to avoid heat; carry water.
  • Combine with a Rawdah slot on a different day so neither is rushed.
