Masjid Quba is about 3 km south of Masjid an-Nabawi. A wide pedestrian walkway, often called the Quba Avenue, links the two, and the walk takes about 35 to 45 minutes at a normal pace. Many pilgrims walk after Fajr or in the evening to avoid the heat, and some go on Saturday following the Sunnah. Praying two rak'ahs at Quba after making wudu at home carries the reward of an Umrah, as reported in the hadith.
