The 1448 AH (2026–27) season, as announced by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah

  • Visas and arrivals began: 31 May 2026; Umrah permits in the Nusuk app from 1 June 2026.
  • Last date for visa issuance: 1 Shawwal 1448 — 9 March 2027.
  • Last date to enter Saudi Arabia for Umrah: 23 March 2027.
  • Final departure date: 30 Shawwal 1448 — 7 April 2027.

Hijri dates depend on the moon, so the Gregorian dates can shift by a day.

What this means if you are planning from India

  • Ramadan 1448 is expected around February–March 2027. It is the busiest and most expensive part of the season; visa deadlines fall soon after it.
  • Leave a margin: don't plan to apply for a visa in the final days before the deadline.
  • The Umrah season pauses around Hajj, and resumes with a new season afterwards.

These dates come from the ministry's calendar as reported in the press (we have recorded the source in our facts register). We re-check them when the ministry publishes changes.
