Harab Rasheed
The central area (often called Markaziyah) surrounds Masjid an-Nabawi on all sides. Hotels here let you walk to every prayer.
Choosing a side
- Women's prayer areas have their own entrances. A hotel that is close to the mosque but far from the women's gates means a long walk for women.
- Rawdah visits have set entrances and time windows for men and women; check which gates your family will use.
- Food and shops cluster on certain sides; quieter streets suit families with young children.
For elderly pilgrims
- Choose a hotel whose entrance faces the courtyard, with a short, flat walk.
- Ask about lift waiting times after Fajr and Jumu'ah.
Beyond the central area: hotels further out are cheaper but usually need a taxi or a long walk for each prayer — practical only for some families.
