Why add Jeddah to your Umrah

Jeddah is where most pilgrims land — and where most leave without looking. Give it a day before or after your Umrah: walk the coral-stone lanes of Al-Balad, sail to Bayada's sandbank, and pray Maghrib by the sea at the Floating Mosque.

Jeddah Umrah+ questions

Can I visit Jeddah before my Umrah?

Yes. If you land at JED and plan Umrah first, you should already be in Ihram from your flight's Miqat. Many families do Umrah first and keep Jeddah for the last day.

Is Bayada Island suitable for children and elders?

Yes — the water is shallow around the sandbank and boats are private. Life jackets are provided; elders can stay on board under shade.

How far is Jeddah from Makkah?

About 80 km — 75–90 minutes by car, or around 25 minutes on the Haramain high-speed train.
