Can cars reach hotels near the Haram in the last ten nights?

We're arriving on the 25th of Ramadan. Will the taxi drop us at the hotel door?

In short

Not always. In the last ten nights, traffic around Masjid al-Haram is heavily restricted, so cars may not reach hotels closest to the Haram. The drop-off point can be a walk from the hotel entrance. We tell you where the car can stop and plan help with luggage.

Plan for it

  • Arrive outside the busiest hours where your flight allows: avoid the hour before Maghrib.
  • Pack so each person can manage their own bag, or ask about porter help at the hotel.
  • Tell us about anyone who needs a wheelchair.

Next step: see private transport in Ramadan.
