What the rules say
- Saudi Ministry of Health: pregnant women are among the groups who must show COVID-19 vaccination or immunity for Umrah, in addition to the meningitis vaccine everyone needs.
- Airlines: each airline sets limits on flying in late pregnancy and may ask for a doctor's letter — check before booking.
- Hajj is different: the Haj Committee of India doesn't allow women in the last three months of pregnancy, or with a high-risk pregnancy, to go for Haj.
- Insurance: the Umrah insurance covers emergency pregnancy and delivery inside Saudi Arabia.
Talk to your obstetrician about
- Whether long walking, heat and crowds are safe at your stage.
- Which vaccines are appropriate in pregnancy.
- Carrying your pregnancy records.
If you go
- Use a wheelchair for tawaf and sa'i; choose quiet hours.
- Stay cool and hydrated; rest often.
This is general information. Your own doctor decides whether travel is right for you.
