Confirmed hotel bookings are now required
Since June 2025, Saudi Arabia issues Umrah visas to international pilgrims only after their hotel bookings are confirmed through the Nusuk Masar system. Each booking carries a reference, often called a BRN. Your bookings must cover the whole stay with no missing nights.
If you have not booked hotels yet, the visa service's 15-day and 20-day options arrange the required references for you. If you are travelling on a Marhaba Haji package, your package hotels cover this.

How long must my passport be valid for an Umrah visa?
At least six months from your date of travel. Renew it first if it is close to expiring — a short-validity passport is one of the most common reasons an application cannot go ahead.
Do I need a hotel booking before applying?
Yes. Since June 2025 Saudi Arabia requires hotel bookings confirmed through Nusuk Masar for every night of the stay before an Umrah visa is issued. The 15- and 20-day options arrange this for you.
Is meningitis vaccination compulsory for Umrah?
Yes. The Saudi Ministry of Health requires ACWY meningococcal vaccination for everyone aged one year and older, given at least 10 days before arrival.
Can I apply if I am going on a Marhaba Haji package?
