Quick Summary & Direct Answer

Umrah+ means adding halal leisure inside Saudi Arabia before or after Umrah. Popular choices are Taif (with a second Umrah via the Qarn al-Manazil Miqat), Jeddah's Al-Balad and Red Sea, an alcohol-free AROYA cruise from Jeddah, Riyadh and Diriyah, AlUla's oasis and Old Town, the Abha highlands and Yanbu's beaches. Keep Umrah and the Haramain at the centre and plan days around the five prayers.

Essential Takeaways at a Glance
  • Do Umrah and Madinah first; add leisure days after, or between the two cities.
  • Taif lies outside the Miqat, so a Taif day can end with a fresh Umrah.
  • In AlUla, scholars advise avoiding the dwellings of Thamud (Al-Hijr / Hegra).
  • Umrah and tourist visas generally allow travel across the Kingdom — check your route first.
  • Private chauffeurs make multi-city trips easy for families and elders.
Pilgrim Pro Tip: Use the leisure days as rest, not a rush

Two or three calm nights in Taif, Yanbu or on a cruise after Umrah help elders and children recover before the flight home.

What is Umrah+?

Umrah+ is an Umrah trip extended with a few days of halal leisure inside Saudi Arabia — mountains, heritage towns, the Red Sea or a halal cruise — planned so that worship remains the purpose of the journey.

The right order

Most families perform Umrah, spend time in Madinah and then add leisure days. Taif is the exception many love: visit for the day, then enter Ihram at Qarn al-Manazil on the way back and perform another Umrah.

Adab and places to avoid

The Prophet ﷺ advised passing the dwellings of those who were punished only while weeping. For this reason our AlUla plans focus on the oasis, Old Town and Maraya, and leave out Al-Hijr / Hegra.

Indicative budgets

Ground-only Umrah+ extensions usually start from a few thousand riyals per couple for Taif or Yanbu and rise for AlUla, Riyadh or a cruise suite. Prices vary by season; ask for a written quote. Marhaba Haji does not sell standalone visas. Umrah visa assistance is offered only as part of an eligible full package.
