UAE Visa Status Check for Indians

How to check a UAE or Dubai visa status online by passport number: which official site to use, what each status means, how to check a visa is genuine, and what to do if it is refused.

Quick answer

You can check a UAE visa on the official ICP website, which covers visas from every emirate, or on the GDRFA Dubai website for visas issued in Dubai. You usually need your passport number, nationality and date of birth, or the visa file number. If our visa desk applied for you, we share the status at each stage — just message us.

What your status usually means

Submitted / received
The application reached the authority and is waiting in the queue.
Under review / in process
An officer is checking it. Most applications sit here longest; no action is needed.
More documents needed
Something is missing or unclear — often the photo or passport scan. Reply quickly; the clock may pause until you do.
Approved / issued
The visa is ready. Download it, check every detail against your passport, and print a copy.
Rejected / refused
The authority declined it. Fees are usually not refunded. Find the likely reason before you reapply.

If something looks wrong

  • No result found: check the passport number, nationality and date of birth exactly as on the passport, and the visa or application number if asked.
  • Status unchanged for days: peak seasons (Diwali, Eid, December, school holidays) take longer. Check again the next working day before chasing.
  • Approved but details are wrong: do not travel on it. A name or passport number mismatch can stop you at the airport; it usually needs a new application.
  • Paid an agent but nothing shows: ask for the application or reference number. A genuine application can always be found on the official site.

Still deciding?

Our concierge replies on WhatsApp with options and an exact quote for your dates.

01How can I check my Dubai visa is genuine?
Look it up on the official ICP or GDRFA Dubai website with the passport and visa details. A genuine visa shows there. Never rely on a PDF alone if you did not apply through a trusted provider.
02How long does a UAE visa take to show as approved?
Usually a few working days, longer in peak seasons. If we applied for you, we tell you the expected range before you pay.
03My UAE visa was rejected. Can I reapply?
Usually yes, once the likely reason is fixed — often a name mismatch, a poor photo or an old residence visa that was never cancelled. Our UAE visa guide lists the common reasons.
