How to book a Rawdah permit on Nusuk, step by step

Book the free Rawdah permit in the Nusuk app or website: log in, choose the men's or women's permit, pick a date and slot, add companions, and use Instant Track at the mosque.

Quick answer

Open the Nusuk app or website, log in, choose the Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah permit for men or women, pick a date and an open time slot, and issue the permit. It is free and appears straight away. The registered user can add companions travelling with them, and visitors already near the mosque can try Nusuk's Instant Track for a same-day slot.

Last checked 2 November 2026. The authorities change Rawdah rules from time to time, so check Nusuk for your dates.

Steps in the Nusuk app or website

  • Install Nusuk (Apple, Google Play or Huawei) or open the Nusuk website.
  • Log in or create an account. Saudi citizens and residents sign in through Nafath; visitors register with their passport and visa details.
  • Choose the Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah permit, for men or for women.
  • Pick a date and one of the open time slots.
  • Issue the permit. Keep the QR code ready on your phone for the entry.

Booking for your family

The Ministry's FAQ says the registered user in the app books the Rawdah appointment, and Nusuk lets you add companions travelling with you. Everyone aged 5 and over still needs their own permit.

Men and women need separate permits for separate windows. Book the slot that is harder to find first, then plan the other around it.

Instant Track when you are at the mosque

The authority's announcement says Instant Track is available when you are near the Prophet's Mosque. Turn on location in Nusuk, check the Rawdah section while you are close by, and take a slot if one appears.

If something goes wrong

  • No slots showing: new slots are released over time. See our guide to when slots usually open.
  • Login or OTP problems: try the fixes in our Nusuk troubleshooting guide.
  • Not on an Umrah visa: tourist e-visa, transit and GCC-resident visitors can usually book. See our tourist and transit visa guide.
  • Booking for parents who cannot use the app, or for a group: our team can watch for slots and book with you.

The permit is free

Slots full, or booking for parents or a group?

You can book the Rawdah yourself for free in Nusuk. If you'd rather not keep refreshing, our team watches for slots and books men's and women's windows inside your Madinah stay. You pay our fee only once a slot is confirmed.

Questions

Can I book the Rawdah permit without the Nusuk app?

Yes. The Ministry lists both the Nusuk app and the Nusuk website as channels for the Rawdah permit.

Can one person book the Rawdah for the whole family?

The registered Nusuk user can add companions travelling with them. Each person aged 5 and over needs their own permit, and men and women book separate windows.

How far ahead can I book the Rawdah?

Slots are released over time and fill quickly in busy months. Check Nusuk as soon as your Madinah dates are fixed, and again closer to the day.

Do I need to pay to book the Rawdah?

No. The permit is free. If a person or company asks you to pay for the permit itself, do not pay.
