Quick answer
Oman e-visas are issued through the Royal Oman Police (ROP) e-visa system, and the status shows there. You usually need the application number and your passport details. If our visa desk applied for you, message us and we will check it.
Where to check
| Where | Best for | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Royal Oman Police e-visa | Tourist and unsponsored e-visas | Application number and passport details |
| Marhaba visa desk | An application we prepared for you | Your name and the WhatsApp number you applied with |
Official sites change their screens often; use the site's visa enquiry or application status option.
What your status usually means
- Submitted / received
- The application reached the authority and is waiting in the queue.
- Under review / in process
- An officer is checking it. Most applications sit here longest; no action is needed.
- More documents needed
- Something is missing or unclear — often the photo or passport scan. Reply quickly; the clock may pause until you do.
- Approved / issued
- The visa is ready. Download it, check every detail against your passport, and print a copy.
- Rejected / refused
- The authority declined it. Fees are usually not refunded. Find the likely reason before you reapply.
If something looks wrong
- No result found: check the passport number, nationality and date of birth exactly as on the passport, and the visa or application number if asked.
- Status unchanged for days: peak seasons (Diwali, Eid, December, school holidays) take longer. Check again the next working day before chasing.
- Approved but details are wrong: do not travel on it. A name or passport number mismatch can stop you at the airport; it usually needs a new application.
- Paid an agent but nothing shows: ask for the application or reference number. A genuine application can always be found on the official site.
