Before You Go
Rehearse everything before you leave home: matching documents, packing, money and staying reachable, health, and setting your intentions.
Most first-time pilgrims worry about the things that happen before the journey even starts: names that don't match, a bag packed wrong, a card that stops working abroad.
Before You Go walks through each of these in short levels, so you can check you are ready at home rather than at the airport.

Your passport is the master copy
Most document trouble on an Umrah trip isn't a missing document. It's documents that disagree: a name spelled one way on the passport and another on the ticket, or a visa with the wrong passport number.
- Your passport is the master copy. The visa, tickets and hotel bookings should match it exactly.
- Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
- Besides the visa, every Umrah visit needs an Umrah permit booked in the Nusuk app.
In this level you'll practise spotting the problems at home, where they're easy to fix, instead of at the airport.
